My concern is that my Delphi 5 is not registered on the CodeGear site and this doesn't seem to be possible as far as I can tell. However, I'd just like to clarify how this process works.
#Rave reports delphi upgrade
I've decided it's time to upgrade to Delphi 2009 Professional from my current Delphi 5 Professional which (according to the FAQ) makes me eligible for the upgrade pricing. > ANSI characters in the string will work with out any changes. > This Shoold be enough that the procedures using it and are expecting > CharArray = array of AnsiChar //- this changed > declaratin from a Char to an AnsiChar eg > altogether then the only think you have to change is the CharArray > I you want to simple convert the declarations ignoring UNicode > it depends heavelly on how it is used fearther down in your project and "The difference between pornography and erotica is lighting." Of so as to not break my Delphi 2007 installation and projects ? I am about to install Delphi 2009 on the same development systemĪs Delphi 2007, before I embark is there anything I should be aware , login, then click on my registered products. Is look your invoice - it should say I would think. If you bought Delphi 2009 and C++ Builder 2009 you getīoth. What am I missing or does my upgrade not include C++? Thanks Delphi installed OK but I see nothing of C++. The install says I can install Delphi and/or C++. But i am not that sure considering the size of our application. I have read from the delphi 2009 feature matrix that Delphi 1 through Delphi 2007 import is possible in delphi 2009. *Sigh*.īut before that, I need to give the estimation and cost regarding the migration to delphi 2009.Ĭan anyone tell me is there any tool to migrate from delphi 4 to delphi 2009 or just I need to compile our Delphi 4 application in Delphi 2009. That was a great help.Īnd atlast our client agreed to upgrade our delphi version from 4 to Delphi 2009. Thanks to all who answered my previous question. > For automatic bug reports, Delphi 2009 seems to put 'Delphi.NET' intoĪFAIK this is as expected. Unfortunately this means I have to use the QC database for 'testing',īut will delete my test entries if I have verified the problem. I will try to verify it and enter it in QC.

If the answer to both the above is No, can anyone recommend a product with equivalent functionality for code-based reports that supports Delphi 2009? > I have delphi 7 interprise installed on my PC.

Is it possible to install delphi 2009 in different windows profile without affecting delphi 7 projects?

Now, we are planning to create a new project using delphi 2009. We don't have time to move those projects to delphi 2009. All of our projects now are made in delphi 7. Our company bought a delphi 2009 professional (upgrade). I have delphi 7 interprise installed on my PC. Is possible to install delphi 7 and delphi 2009 upgrade? I'm just hoping SCT Associates get a newer version of Ace Report out v.soon for Delphi 2009. Though I suppose as it's bundled they'll get their cash whatever the quality of it within Delphi. I'm really dissapointed with the quality of it. More importantly, Rave Reports!!! Wow, is this reporting tool just rubbish or what! It's absolute pants.
#Rave reports delphi pro
Okay, only got the pro edition, but with the added problems, maybe Delphi 6 was a better option. I've just upgraded from Delphi 6 and actually, I'm not sure if the upgrade is a good investment.
